Well, we are a month past our big day and we are all recovered! We have returned from the Land of Oz and we are going through our surveys and recapping the many highlights of the day. We hope you all enjoyed every minute too!
The day had so many memorable moments and we wanted to share a few with you who may no have caught them on our Facebook page.
Many months of preparation went into all the details that make this event something to remember. Here are a few of the genius moments conceived by our event decorator, Carla Kane.
Ninety Scrapbookers arrived to enjoy their day and all our efforts did not go unnoticed or appreciated. (In addition, they brought hundreds of pounds of food for the food bank and the Woolwich Community services were overwhelmed by such generosity! Thank you.)
We also gave away so many prizes and had a huge raffle table and silent auction event. We were so blessed with so many donations in support of our dancers. These photos are just one tiny piece of the table of raffle prizes! Thank you to all who bought tickets and who donated.
We enjoyed a continental breakfast prepared by Diane Wolff and Carey Davis and they worked tirelessly on our hot lunch too. It was dinner created by these two gentlemen that was the day's crowning glory!
Our very first costume contest event was also a big hit this year!
Of course, we wanted to remember WHY we do this big event and got this awesome picture of our working dancers who helped all day to make this even amazing. We called them our Dorothy and our flying Monkeys! A very special thank you to Lauren, Adriane, Sarah and Jordyn!
As the founders of this event, Ann and I could not imagine we would be at this point after only a few years. What a successful day for all. We thank each and every one of you for attending, donating and giving from your hearts and your pockets to make this an amazing day. Thank you. (And we hope to see you next September!)
