Christine Bisch and Freedom Knits, we are grateful!

Christine Bisch tells her story like this:

What’s a girl to do when the burden of 27 million invades her heart and mind? This girl knits.

How succinct and heartfelt. We are so very grateful that she donated a gorgeous cowl in addition to yarn, needles and a pattern for our Silent Auction. Christine's faith and determination have given her purpose to "support and promote the work of two organizations working tirelessly to secure freedom and justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression: International Justice Mission and the Joy Smith Foundation."

Christine's store Freedom Knits showcases Fair Trade Manos del Uruguay yarn and luxury, handmade knits.

Please stop by to see what she has created. Such gorgeous items like these ones can be purchased to warm you this fall and winter and you will also support those in need. This olive one has such lovely texture and the colour is divine.
I adore the oatmeal one too, and it would take you through all Canada's cooler seasons in style.
Christine's Etsy shop is a feast for the senses and you can choose knitted items or gorgeous wool to create your own masterpiece, all knowing you are supporting those fighting for freedom and justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.

Thank you Christine and Freedom Knits for sharing your gift with us.
Christa and Ann
